Happy New Year BCPA Members!!

Hope everyone had a safe, happy, & healthy holiday season!

BCPA is revving up for a fabulous year. We are starting off with our first meeting:

The topic will be Osteoporosis: New Insights in Bone Biology & Patient Care
The speaker will be Amgen's Megan Murphy, PharmD, Sr Medical Liaison.
The program will be worth 1 hour of live CE credit & dinner will be served.

Just a reminder that dues were up last July. Pharmacists $75 Techs/Recent Pharmacy Grads $20

This is a letter that many pharmacists are asking their patient's to sign after they administer a flu shot to them. Please feel free to do the same in your practice setting or use the letter as a template to create your own letter. Pharmacists may find their state legislators by going to the FPA homepage (www.pharmview.com), choosing the ADVOCACY tab, then choosing WHO ARE MY FLORIDA STATE LEGISLATORS? It is important we get all the support and representation we can! This letter has also been posted on the BCPA website, so you will be able to access and print it from there as well. Here is a sample letter please feel free to personalize it and addressing it to your specific Senator or Representative is better than leaving the title as legislator but advocate for the immunizations- There is suppose to be a bill introduced to stop pharmacists from providing flu shots.
